Good post. I run a Game Management area in Missouri and am always interested in what is being said and the hunting experiences people are looking for and having out there. Thanks for taking the time to post about why people hunt. Thanks!

Once again my party is having difficulty finding any deer after the first couple of days. Does anyone have any suggestions? We have been trying the areas that used to hold deer, windrows, wooded areas and slues, but we have only found 2 small does during a full week of hunting. We could really use some help, but have up to this point been unable to find anyone that can help out.

Recently our little deer hunting tract has been disturbed by a logging operation on the adjoining property. We have about 3 stands on about 80 acres which are surrounded by other wooded tracts. The noise of the logging equipment is quite inescapable all the way across our property. How will this intrusion affect our deer movements and behavior? It is the peak week of the rut and they have just now decided to start logging, great timing isn't it? Is our season irrevocably lost to us?

My deer lease in Ragley, La.
The problem I’m having is most of the deer season last year was they we're feeding at night. I hunt in a piney wood fire lane area and using electric feeder set for 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.
It very seldom snows or a hard freeze what do you suggest i plant.

The deer cart makes carrying those full size decoys look easy but I have to go through brush that's just too thick for that. I think I'll try a folding decoy decoy though before the season's over.
