Thanks Sarge. They may be switching some dates etc. Alot of complaints of lower deer numbers. CWD, Blue Tongue no one seems to know why but even tracks/sign with the snow isnt there. Finding alot of dead deer south of us is the rumor. Rumors already flying about DNR inflating the kill numbers. At $25 a tag next year Im sure they dont want people to lower their tag purchases. I think somethings up for certain. Guys around here that kill 5, 7 ,10+ deer a year killed 1 or 2 and the DNR still claims the kill was steady or even rose a little? Lockers all seen a drop of 25%-40% in the number of deer processed. I dont think a bunch of hunters changed their ways in one season and started processing their own. I ate 12 or 13 tags without checking/counting. Some ate more. I know alot of guys that had 5 or 6 and didnt even fill a tag. Ive spoke with enough guys over this past doe weekend and with themselves and hunters that are with them it covers over 30 guys that hunted and 1 doe was taken. In this nice weather? Only a few even seen a deer. I hope we're all wrong but the sign it looks bad. Cold hard winter and a dry spring with some deer virus?
