has anyone heard of this caliber rifle its a winchester model 70......i got one at a gun show here in florida i paid 350 bux for it and was wondering if anyone knew anything about the caliber

Flat shooting round. The 6.5 bullets have come a long way lately with there high BC and high sectional density make for maintained down range energy especially with large case.

I've read some articles about the cartridge and seems to be a good round for almost any game in North America. I thing you will pay a little more for ammo, but sure you will be pleased with its performance. Please repost with results if you bag anything with it, or range results.

when sighting it in my groups were the size of a dime so its consistent but i havent done much target shooting because of the cost of ammo
