30-06 or 308 or any other rifle calibers

well i already have a 270 but i want a little more nockdown power. and ive been looking at a 30-06 and a 308 and i dont know which one i should get or if i should look 4 a diffrent rifle. i want a remington model 700 in the price range of 5 to 6 hundred dollars and a nikon buck master scope. please give me an idea.

I shoot a 30-06 for deer hunting with a 165 gr. bullet.
I have found it to be great deer rifle. It rarely takes more then one round to kill a deer. I also use it for bear hunting with good results using a heavier 180 grain bullet.

i use a .308 to hunt caribou and moose, it's a great gun, if you use the proper rounds. i know alot of people who use either of the three, but the 06 seems just as popular as the .308 now, but the 270 is comming around as a player here in NL for moose too...
