A few trailcam pics from 2007 before EHD destroyed Indiana

I found several of these deer dead in creeks and pond on one of our farms later that year. I hope it dont take too long to rebuild the herd. Pics 3-7 are of a giant that made it through the summer but it was shot off the road about a half mile away. Do you think that deer could be the same as the deer in the beans which was taken earlier? All these pics were off the same farm on an entrance to a bean field. Hope you enjoy

WHat kind of camera where you using? Did you use the LED or flash? Nice bucks! Too bad about it getting shot from the road. I hate people that do that.

I use a stealth cam that has an LED flash, what u are thinkin of is a infrared camera. I bought an infrared but have not used it yet. The camera I took these pictures is a less expensive model but i'm not sure which. I think it has decent camera speed but who actually knows. It is a great scouting tool. Does anyone have opinions on whether the flash spooks deer? I bought the infrared to put in places that I didn't want to scare them. I have seen the rack of the big deer in pictures and it scored in the 165 range. It's a shame there is no way to prosecute him.

Were are you located again? Here in Salem we just had a ring of poachers busted ranging from the age of 17 to 24. In all the conservation department estimates they shot over 40 deer all from the road at night took the heads and left the carcass to rot. One was busted and in return rolled over and told on everyone involved. The case is in court still so no outcome as of yet. But the papers are saying some costly fines and fees and even some serious jail time for them. I wondered if you were close to Washington Co.? And if this might by chance be one of those bucks taken from the road.
