a little fishing over the weekend

take notice my stepdad's shirt and pants are soaked...yeah he wasn't watching the pole too well...and off into the lake it went. I had put one of those glow lights on the tip...luckily it made it easy to track in the shallow water.

don't know which one's uglier the flathead..the blue...or me...ha.

daylight fading...time for some catfishing.

next day was warm and clear...but the water was pretty rough.

Nice cats. Looks an awful lot like Lake Moultrie, am I right? Nice little kwacks there, thanks for the pics.

Lake Marion...not too terribly far from the I-95 bridge.

I was close. Both are great places to fish. I've fished both of them quite a bit.

yeah i love it there...the last summer was a complete bust with the water being so low -but they let a lot back in for the bass tourney supposedly. ive heard that they will let it all back out again to work on the dam when its over. i hope they hold out till summers over.
also...any tips for stripers...ive fished marion for many years and never caught one...plenty of bream/catfish/crappie/gar/ and an occasional bass..but no stripers. sorry if this is out of place in photos...

You started the thread, take it where you want. :D As for the stripers, I'm no good with those dudes. Wrong type of bass I guess. I'm a large mouth chaser myself.
