What are some thoughts on the meat seekers, thinking about giving them a try but would like to hear from anyone about them.

Havent ever used them, but your question sparked my interest. My fears would be that the piston point robs energy, and the blades don't look like they would be very durable. Theoretically, when I picture myself shooting a big buck, I picture my arrow flying through ribs and 2 lungs never really hitting anything too hard. Last year, I shot a nice buck down through the spine with a 2 blade rage and it snapped one of the blades right in half. Rage blades look to have more integrity than these. On the flip side, they look like they would fly really well, so if you are confident in your own skills, which I'm sure you are since most pretenders wouldn't take the time to be on chat forums like this, I'd give'm a whirl and get back to us. What blades do you shoot now? I have a hard time leavin rage but I try to keep an open mind. Lot of gimics in the outdoor world!

Thanks for the reply Halsty6, I shot the rage two blade last year and was not very happy with them. I have shot 3 deer with my bow this year, including a 270 pound buck with the Rocky Mountain Gator xp two blade expandable. the first doe went 30 yards and fell over and the other doe, i shot right between the shoulder blades and she tipped over backwards and died; i split her heart in half and the buck went about 200 hundred; I am very satisfied with them. I did go out and buy the meat seeker 3 blade 2inch just to give em a try. I have 2 doe tags left so i will see what happens. About the piston on the meat seeker, it is actually free ranging and seems almost fool proof but i still have to wait another week and half before i can see what kind of damage they can do. About the Gator XP broadheads, i think that rage bought out their design how ever many years back and i bought 9 of them for $45 before the season started. Only thing i am not sure about with these broadheads is shooting deer at longer ranges, 35+ yards, i think they could lose some energy on opening and not penetrate as well. If u like the rage, i would try to find the gator xp on the internet and give em a shot, they are a great buy for the money. Will let u guys know how the meat seekers do in two more weekends, thanks for the advice i appreciate it.

Okay, this broadhead in my mind is legit as any i have shot. I would recomend it to anybody because of strength and the hole that was left, sorry i forget to take a pic. The first deer i shot at, i miss judged and she ducked my arrow and there just happened to be a tree right behind her, the head went into the tree and stayed in tack while my full metal jacket was shattered, i was impressed. When i did get to shoot a doe, i double lunged her and she ran about 35 yards and tipped over. Great product and would recomend it to anybody, especially someone who is hesitant to shoot a mechanical broadhead, it flies strait. Pic of the blood trail was kinda bad because it started to rain the morning i shot her but is still impressive and was about 2 times the size of my bow.

I'm shooting G5's but my buddy is shooting the meatseekers and loves them. I'd say they are a solid performer.
I love my: Matthews Switchback, Leupold Vendetta, Slick Trick Broadheads
