It is the Christmas holiday and hunting seasons are still going on across the country. Members check in from time to time. Let the hunting season end and it will liven up some more.

BTW,
Thank you...is it alwys this quiet here? or is it x-mass holliday?

I think it is Christmas. I'm heading back out tomorrow to tend to stands before the January season starts back in. Might do some bunny hunting too. I've got a future son in law with me so we'll see if he's a hunter.

Hello, Jonny. You are always welcome to come and hunt those turkies here in Iowa. Seems like we have them coming out of our ears. I'm like you, I like to hunt about anything. My favorite is bow hunting for whitetail, but my latest hobby is rabbit hunting with beagles. I run a small pack of four. Someday I would love to hunt moose or elk with a bow. Not many of them in the midwest.

Thanks:-)..Think i need my map to finde Iowa..;-)..Question was What its like to hunt in sweden not what i like..well...biggest diff. i think is that all hunting and wild animals belongs to the land owner. There are about 9 mill. people in sweden and 300 000 hunts.Moose hunting is most populare and we shoot about 125.000 each year.500.000 roe deer 150 Brown bears .7.000 Elks. wild pigs are increasing in the south parts and we shoot about 10.000 now.Bow hunting are not alowed unfortunaly.I hunt mostely in the midwest parts of sweden.great moose hunting here...but i do hunt from south to north...and some hunting in Scotland Ireland England and Poland.Happy new year to ya all.......Jonny

Hey JonnySweden!
With all that to hunt, will you adopt me? Seriously, how hard is it to get permission to hunt in Sweden for someone living in the US?

Easy....just to know someone that own land ..and you can hunt with him ...(or her if your extremly lucky ;-)...)...as much as you like...only thing you need is a licens that you need for each year...abot 80$..and somthing that confirm that you are alowed to hunt in your home country...thats it...be my guest anytime...any particulare species you want to hunt?
