advice for large il bucks

ive been squirrel hunting with my daughter the last couple nights out at buckhorn and weve found a real nice buck id guess 150 maybe weve found 2 bedding areas 150yds apart, supper thick stuff surrounding by tail grass then its open hollow in between with some heavily used trails in and some decent scraps in the hollow, weve seen him twice once in each bedding area any suggestions on how to get him in archery? weve seen does using the trails through the hollow, the first bedding area is near a crop feild the second hed have to travel through the hollow and 1st bedding area(closet to the crops) to get to the crops, 1st time we seen him was 5pm working his way from the first bedding area to the 2nd eating nuts n milling around watched him for a long while 2nd time we kicked him up in the 2nd bedding area maybe 7pm, we didnt know it was a bedding area and were trying to stay way from where wed seen him before, im thinking sit in between the 2 on the trails, anyway suggestions on how to get him into the hollow beginging of bow season would be greatly apreaciated

If you can use bait in your state I would buy some 'Buck Grub or Shake and Take' or some other deer attractant that they can smell and put some at a trail intersection somewhere between the bedding area and water or even put the stuff near the water if its a pond or if there is a good deer crossing at a stream or creek that shows use.

Put the attractant within bow range of a good tree that you can hang your tree stand in and only hunt it when you are sure the wind won't get you busted.

You are wise not to go tromping repeatedly into a bedding area, most experienced bucks and even does would move out if they get much of a sense that their hideout has been found, especially during hunting season.

Even if you can't bait I would still hunt the trail between that bedding area and the nearest water.

Good Luck!
