Well, I didn't make it out for bow, but below is my take for the first day of shotgun. I missed a 10 point the same day. (Long story, I won't go into.)

I have seen a lot of deer this fall. Three buck within a few hundred yards of our house in the two weeks prior to shotgun. Well, I have a couple weeks yet. Warming up the inline for ML season!

Just for those who are not familiar with the Finger Lakes, I live near the old Seneca Army Depot, home of the Seneca White Deer. These are all white whitetails (not albinos). They are mixed with normal whitetails, as well. There is a population of about 200 on the depot. This one walked right out to me the first day of shotgun.

If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then comeback and hit it again. Then hit it again-a tremendous whack! - Winston Churchill
