:D

Been shooting a bow for about 25 yrs now. Started out with a recurve along time ago. Switched to the compounds, martin, pse, hoyt, and settled on a mathews outback. Great bow. Took allot of critters with it. Deer, hawgs, turkey and a cow elk. Problem that got to me was, it just wasn't fun anymore because YOU DIDN'T MISS. I went back to shooting my recurves and and have taken 5 does in the last 2 seasons. I feel a whole lot better about archery because it's just a stick and string. Nothing else.

Im not confident pass 10 yds so i dont bother but there have been a few kills with the mathews were i just shook my head and said now thats where i should have had the recurve.

I started off shooting a recurve and used one for a while before taking a break of archery hunting altogether since I had no one to hunt with nor a place to hunt. Since getting a friend into bow hunting and finding a near by hunting spot I have since switched to a compound bow but still like shooting a recurve if I have the chance.

I started with a soveriegn mace 43 pounds. I switched to a martin vision 50 at 28 pounds. I have taken 1 small doe and three bucks with it. It feels like such an acomplishment when you get a deer. I missed a spike this year with it twice in 5 minutes. First shot he got luckly and just steped out of the way at the right time and then I rushed the shot. I missed but it was still fun.

For me, there was no other feeling like it. Critters taken with stick and string are all trophies as far as I'm concerned :!: :!: :!:

I hunt with stickbows and compounds. Depends on the weather and how much shooting Ive got in lately. Sarge the bucks are going crazy, I missed a 160 class 10pt(?) broadside at 17 yards behind my stand. 220 class was killed behind our wallys. Word will get out about it, it looks to be a pretty typical buck to me? Thats green score. I just had the pic sent in a text about 2 hours ago. One of those bucks that take your breath away. Ive let quite a few small bucks walk, waitin for a big one. Your gonna have a good gun season.

I started bow hunting with a black Bear recurve. Took my test and my first deer with it a small spike. Even tho I now shoot a compound I still shoot with fingers and a glove.
