I just got the RWS 48. Its a .22 cal and shoots I think in the 900 fps.

Anyone have any insight on these air guns?

I don't have an air rifle that uses compressed gas, etc. I just have a cheapo Crossman hand pump pellet rifle with a small 1x scope on it, i've killed Starlings and Pigeon's with it but thats about it.

Some of those compressed gas rifles are very powerfull and accurate and will easily kill squirrels, birds, gophers, etc. Over in Europe target and sport shooting the compressed gas rifles is a very big deal since some over there aren't allowed real firearms to hunt with, some of the ones made in Europe are considered the best and are pretty expensive.

I looked up yours on Amazon and saw them going for around $350

I got mine at bass pro for $419.00 and it's pretty darn accurate, but packs a punch with a 9 grain bullet.

:D Santa brought me a Gamo Hunter in .177 cal
The only hunting that I have done with it is from a lawn chair on my dock. MANY a turtle has had it's last view looking at the red dot shining it it's eyes - LOL
