Anyone shooting?

Postby quigleysharps4570 » Sat Mar 12, 2005 6:12 pm

Got some in today myself. Was killing stumps and driftwood. Wind was in the wrong direction and blowing all the blackpowder smoke back in my face. A spotter would've been nice. Just switched over to smokeless when the owner came down in there. He wanted to tell me about the family cook-out that was going to be going on in another hour or so. So that wiped out my shooting. Spotted for him for awhile. He'd just put on a new Tasco 10-40x50 scope on his Rem. 700 in .243. Didn't turn out well. Got him on paper at 40yds., but was shooting 3-4 inches left and was out of adjustment! That bites. About it...left before the crowd came in.

Hey there sharps You know your buddy might wanna get some different mounts for his scope of buy somthing built a little better. My friend couldnt get his remington 7mm ultra mag to shoot real good. He was on paper at 100yds but far right and out of adjustment. He baught a 4x12x50 leupold and baught some mounts from them to. The rings were made very cheaply and when we switched mounts to a better brand and we pulled in to 1 inch at 100yds in a vice. I try to stick to leupold or nikon scopes I found them to have good clarity and a price that will not hurt you to badly. I figure you get what you pay for. Other thant that I shoot almost every day from shotgun to rifle and bow. Whatever strikes me that day. I have been out shooting foxes. I have a permit to shoot red's. I have been getting alot of grey's though. We are aloud to shoot them at night even. I have a red light on my 22-250 and a preditor call. It keeps me on top of my game so to speak!!!
