I bought a Black Ice last October. Very, Very smooth bow. It shoots fast and flat and it hits hard. I shot two deer with it this year and the arrows zipped through with no problems. One of the deer never even knew he was hit and stood where I shot him for 20 seconds or so before he ran off.

BowTechs are really nice bows, my friends got one and it works slick..

I hear the new Fred Bear bows are real nice too, with an affordable price. Anyone shot one?

I had a Hoyt, but it got stolen. I dont know what kind of Hoyt it was, but I paid $125 dallors for it. The only thing I know that it was a competion bow not a hunting bow.

They are all hunting bows. About the only difference is color, set-up and where it is being shot.

What Doc was saying is that other than the set up and and color, hunting bows aren't much different than target bows. As a matter of fact I would say most target bows are built around the frames of hunting bows.

From what I have seen since I got into archery, competition bows are hunting bows. Just a different color.

Can't go wrong with a bowtech/Ross bow:wink:

Bowtech is working on a new bowtech-Ross hybrid (now that bowtech bought ross) of some sort should be very nice! I'm told it doesn't have a name yet...

I have a BOWTECH "GUARDIAN" and i love it... super fast and quite.. it slings carbon express maxima hunters 350 with 100 grain heads at about 285 fps for an arrow weighing 420 grains that's pretty fast...

Guardian

Postby deerhunter229 » Mon Aug 18, 2008 12:42 pm

My dad has the guardian. It is an extremely nice bow. It is almost as fast as my PSE Mach X , but not nearly as quiet. It is a very quiet bow. He shoots some very nice groups with it. A lot of the bows these days comes down to personal preference since most hunting bows on the market today are all excellent equipment.

I shoot a Reflex Exterme, quiet with plenty of speed.I use it for 3-d shooting, shooting dots and hunting. So except for the camo paint, its a competion bow,or a comp bow with camo paint. :D
Want my ammo?Ok,stand downrange.
