Army/Iraq war veteran looking for a place to hunt.

Postby olemiss_rebel88 » Sun Aug 08, 2010 3:09 pm

Hello Everyone,

My name is Jordan, and I am a disabled (PTSD, Hearing, and Back injury) Army Veteran who served in Iraq and I live in Richmond, VA. I do not want this to sound like a sob story, but I love to hunt and it is one of the things my shrink said would be good for me to keep doing. The problem is I have no friends, family, or places to go hunting in Virginia. I have been an avid white tail deer hunter since I was 8 (so 18 years now) and I do not know who to talk to or if there are any hunters near my area who would not mind helping me out. I looked into deer hunting clubs but most of them are out of my price range. I am a principled person (no criminal record) and principled deer hunter (Still hunter with greatest respect for nature and game animals) so if anyone out there can help let me know. It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for reading,
Jordan W.

I am going to try to get out here this year. If you are in Richmond its like...30-45 mins away I think. Since you were military, you won't have any problem getting on base.

If you want to make the trip to the Eastern Shore I'd be glad to take you. I have some friends that live in Norfolk that come over and hunt with me all the time. You could meet them at the bay bridge. Let me know, and thanks for your service.
