thats about where mine comes back to as well. food for thought....the shorter the arrow, the less flex you get and the lighter your arrow is. Lighter not always being better, if and when you replace your currents arrows, adding a bit of length, as Bowhunters has already stated, will not hurt unless you go too far. You generally do not want teh insert of your arrow to stick out past the biser on your bow.... as long as teh blades of your broadhead do not make contact with the riser or the shelf. Just my humble $.02
