I want to know what all you guys use and/or do to attract big bucks to your hunting area. Thanks

plant a food plot and let the does feed on it undisturbed and that right there makes the best bait for a big buck there is.

I'd stick to natural food scents as cover scents, if I were you and steer clear of simulants. I do use fresh whitetail urines, but be wary of most over-the-counter products, especially those that claim to be "fresh" but are on the shelves by August!

Early season I use buck urine as a cover scent and since I started using it, I have seen a lot more bucks..

deer scents

Postby wpault » Sun Jul 18, 2010 7:33 am

try using a product called deer dander from dan fitzgerald i always use it smells just like a deer if you are goimg to put out bait like corn or apples you want to spray some around are to cover your scent it seems to keep their senses at bay.i always use stealth dust and cedar scent many times i have had deer come from down wind and not get spooked. nothing is fool proof, but so far it has worked for me.

I bait in a bunch of doe's with grain or deer cane. The doe's I attract are my lure when there is a rut!! I mainly hunt full rut.
