I've been using Scent Lok baselayers under Scent Blocker ourwear. I have been hearing and reading for a while that carbon is not all that it is cracked up to be due to the temperature that is needed to release the molecules that the carbon captures. Also, carbon is suppose to wear out after a few years of use. I have been using my suit for about 3 years now and I have not had any problem with deer smelling me or even knowin that I am in the area. Maybe the clothing is fine and this is just good marketing. Or, maybe I am so good with getting completely scent free that the clothing doesn't matter as much: showering with dead down wind, mouthwash, field spray, and I never wear my clothing until I am ready to walk to my stand.

Can somebody enlighten me on these new silver products? i.e. X-Shield by Artic Shield, Tek-4 by Hunter's Specialties.
