BIG Decision!!! Which Bow to get?

Postby joshheat25 » Tue Aug 25, 2009 9:00 pm

I am Deciding which bow to buy for this season. It is between the PSE Stinger and the Bear Archery Lights out. This will be my first bow. Both are at Cabelas for $299 for Just the bow. The Bear is for sale $80 off the original price!!! I am also deciding if I should get the "Ready to shoot packages" that come with them. Any input would help. Thanx

Have you shot either one of them? If you haven't, I wouldn't suggest buying either one of them. I can understand you wanting to save some coin but if you buy before you shoot then you're gambling with your money. You have to like the way the bow shoots or you'll never be a good shot with the bow. Go shoot some bows first and then make your decision.

I have a Lights Out package, I like it a lot. I bought it 3 days before I shot my biggest buck actually. The only thing I dont like about the package is the sight, it is made out of plastic and only comes with 3 pins. For the money I think its a great buy though, I would definitely recommend it for your first bow.

I would shoot this both first before you buy..especially since its your first bow. Just cause the price is right doesn't mean the bow is right.

You won't regret it, there is more to buying the right bow than just throwing down your money and buying a rifle or shotgun where for adults one size pretty much fits all.

I agree with whats posted above but you might want to check out ... for a used bow. For $300 to $400 you can get some very good good used bows that come with higher end sights and rests. The packages that come on thoses bows are defintly not always the best.
