I need to get a new pair of binoculars for next year. I dont want them to cost a arm and a leg but I want a pair that wont fog up and be good in the area that I will be using them most which is Georgia. Any ideas would be great help to me. Thanks Buck It

BINOCULARS

I THINK THE OLD SAYING, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR APPLIES HERE. I BELIEVE YOU SHOULD INVEST IN QUALITY WHEN IT COMES TO OPTICS, IF YOU ARE ABLE. BINOCULARS NOW COME WITH BUILT IN RANGE RINDERS. A GREAT INVESTMENT. QUALITY OPTICS ARE WELL WORTH THE PRICE. FOR INEXPENSIVE OPTICS WITH GOOD QUALITY, CHECK OUT SIMMONS. GOOD LUCK.

i have a pair of Bushnell Powerview 7-15x25. cost me $50 at wal-mart. i love them. you can see what you need to see clearly, you can start seeing things just before sunrise and shorty after the official sunset. they are compact, dont fog unless you breathe on them, and are light. there are better binocs(more expensive), but i am happy with these. i would also suggest the Crooked Horn Bino System, no matter what brand you get, to hold them tight to your chest so they dont flop around. hope this helps.

I agree with Doc, that crooked horn strap is a real neck saver. The pair I use is made by Steiner. I paid a little more than I would have liked but they are a great set.

N is right -- Nikon makes some great nocs that won't break the bank and they'll last forever if you take care of 'em. I've got a pair that I've used for nearly 15 years, and they're still crystal clear. :)
