oksy so im looking for a good black bear round in the pa and ny areas i have a 243 and heard thatwil do the job but idk any sugestions
Bullets speak the same in any language.

I wouldnt rely on a 243 for bear.270 or a 300 mag,I would favor the 300 mag or even a 7mm mag.

From what I have seen, Pennsylvania has some BIG black bears. I wouldnt put faith in a .243. As Richard stated look into the .270 or larger. I would almost prefer a .30 cal, if I didnt like my .270 so much.
Curiosity killed the cat, but I was a suspect for a while......

Absoloutly stick with the bigger bores,,,any wounded bear is dangerous.
