Sire Zeus: 13th generation smokey river bluetick; per his gps collar runs over 30 miles per day and returns on same trail every 1-3 hours; he is calm, intelligent, focused and self-starter; he is a natural, and produced arkansas' third largest typical whitetail deer in 2009, a 12-point (168 B&K).
Dame Athena: 13th generation smokey river bluetick and half sister to zeus; she was acquired to ensure backup repeats of zeus; we keep one from each litter; they are a great match, opposites in character as she is more hyper and talkative, but similar in intellegence and passion; she prefers shorter runs and covers less than 15 miles per day and returns every 30 minutes to 1 hour on same trail; she is a short 43 lbs and zeus is a tall muscular 76 lbs; attached are a few pictures.
My pick to keep from their first pups was Hercules; he is uniquely red ticked and he sits, shakes, eats and loads in truck on command; runs over 20 miles per day and returns on same trail every 1-2 hours; we harvested over half dozen deer in front of him his first 2011 hunt. Two of his litter mates were admitted into auburn universities canine detection institute and currenlty in their 4th month of training; another is used for blood trailing in arkansas and louisiana; one for coon hunting in louisiana; two for running deer; another for companion and squirrel hunting in alabama; total of 8 pups in first litter born June 2011 of which 4 were uniquely red ticked.
