I have been seeing big bucks on all the back roads everyday. Looks like a bumper crop this year boys. I saw a buck that was past his ears today at 2 in the afternoon. I was dumping corn and looked up to see him standing on the lane looking at me like I was crazy. Then he just flicked his tail scratched his face with his back hoof and walked in the brush.
The buck was not far from the stand I am going to place my father on the 1st day in september. He hasnt killed a deer with a bow since I was 2 years old. I think He has a good chance. I think it's only fair to give him the best stand on the club. After all he showed me everything I know it will feel kind of good to give a little somthing back and show him he taught me well.
I checked the trail cameras at the stand sight today and have 25 exposures. I cant wait to see what they are. Hopefully I get some pic's in velvet. I will try to give them to my friend so he can use his scanner, I'll try to post them. He is the guy in the club with all the gadjets. We call him city boy. He has the 2000 dollar cameras and all the electronics. He is the clubs camera guy. We try to make a big poster of all the deer killed by our club members using the pic's.
I am going back in the morning to finish dropping corn on the rest of the stands. I will keep you guys posted on the pic's and sightings. Been watching a giant 7pt in full velvet behind the house. If I get my hands on him he will be going to stuffys for sure.
