Bow string replacement

Postby Bill Koropsak » Tue Jun 30, 2009 4:39 pm

I am getting ready to replace the string on my bow. I have done a little research online and found some sellers on Ebay selling their custom made strings for $30 to $55. Also interested in a "Zebra" string wich also sells for around $30 to $35. One of the Ebay sellers has 100% positive feedback on his. But I dont know whether to go with the Zebra or a custom. Anyone have any advice?[/i][/b]

Go with the Zebra or Winner's Choice strings. I wouldn't take a chance on somebody who builds them custom unless he was local and I could talk to him face to face.
Keep the tradition alive, teach a kid how to hunt.

I agree 100% with what KwackWacker said on that.

I just ordered Hinky strings and cables for my Matthews for $70, delivered to the door. They were custom green and silver to match my feathers. Great guy located in New Market, Maryland.

I have used the Zebra for a few years and I liike em.They have given great performance,I use bees wax for my string wax and a hair drier on med to get it in to the string between the strands.Seems to work pretty good for me.
Want my ammo?Ok,stand downrange.

I have a Mathews. They come with a Barracuda Zebra string. As far as Im concerned, not worth a crap. Check out Vapor Trail Archery products. They customize your colors and for string and cable its only 70 bucks with shipping included. I had my mathews only a year and my string supressor fingers were shot by then with zebras.
