This is my own recipie that i've tweaked over the years, I make it at work every once in a while and everyone tells me that I aught to sell the recipie to a company that makes canned chili.

This is for a large sized crock pot - Cook on high for 4 hrs and its ready to eat.

2 lb’s browned venison.
4 cans 14.5 oz. Williams Diced Tomatoes w’green chilies and onions.
5 cans 16. oz. Bush’s Hot Chili Beans
1 can 15. oz. Tomato Sauce
1 can 10. oz. Rotel’s Hot Chili Fixin
2 Tablespoons Cayen Powder Mohave Brand
2 Tablespoons New Mexico Chili Powder Mohave Brand
2 Tablespoons Chili De Arbol Powder Mohave Brand
3 oz. BBQ Sauce – Original KC Masterpiece is what I use.

If you want to make it real hot add ¼ - ½ jar fine diced jalapeno’s (Hot) La Preferida (Hot)

The Dillon's grogeries here in Kansas have those spices listed but i'm sure you can get away with just using the chili powder and Cayen powder and it will be pretty warm, it you love hot chili add the diced jalepeno's.

The only thing missing is a large iced tea or glass of cold beer. LOL

How hot is it without adding the peppers? As I get terrible heartburn with spicey things... I'm cooking this Tuesday for dinner. :) 26 degrees that night!!

also, do you add water in the crockpot?

With just with the powders and Rotel's Chili Fixens and hot chili beans it will be pretty warm, about what I consider a medium spicy.

I would only suggest adding the Jalepeno's for those that like real hot/spicy chili, some people add a tablespoon of Sour Cream to their bowl of chili if its too spicy and they say it does the trick of nocking some of the spicy heat down.

I like a really spicy hot chili so I go for adding the peppers but for some I can understand it might be too much heat.

Let me know what you think of it.
