Speed comes from the cam and limb design and is not always better to be faster. I think back to the old days before carbon arrows and super fast parrallel limb bows and wonder how those heavy aluminum arrows ever got it done... answer: kenetic energy. Speed can actually take away kenetic energy. I personally shot with the same bow for almost 6 years until I decided to upgrade it to my current bow (back in 2005) an 06 bowtech tribute. It was the top of the line back then but now in comparison with its new counterparts some would call it out of date and mediocre. I still kill animals every year with a mediocre bow??? How can that be? Its all about comfort with your gear and confidence that when you release that arrow, you know exactly how, where, and when its going to fly. As much as you enjoy getting new equipment all the time, you may be hurting yourself a bit as well. Find a bow you love to shoot, stick with it, and resist the temptation to rush out and buy the newest and greatest every season.... new doesn't necessarily mean better. Just my $.02
I keep hearing this voice in my head that tells me to stay home and clean my guns...
