Bucks suddenly disappear

Postby Kenedesamo » Sun Aug 08, 2010 8:07 pm

I've been feeding three really nice bucks now for two months and just recently they have disappeared for the last week. I have has a new set of does with a fawn each since the bucks went missing. How do I get the bucks to come back or how do I get rid of the does? My belief is that the dominate die is hoarding the food and keeping the bucks out. Could the bucks have started losing their velvet and changed their paterns? Any suggestions please.(three really nice bucks)

Not sure what's going on there. It's defintely too early for the rut. Perhaps a local agricultural field has matured and the bucks are feeding elsewhere. In any case, they are not likey far off and if they fed there before they will likely be back.
