Scott,
I do not know how much time you are planning on devoting to hunting in Morgantown, but I would get out there soon. I lived in GA for 6.5 years and they are definately behind KY. I am currently living in Kansas and have been keeping the pressure low where I hunt. I have gone out twice. The first day was the October 1st and I harvested my early season doe. The second day was this past Saturday October 29th and I saw a good size 6 pointer (wide for a 6) and six does between 8:30 and 9:30 am. This was the first time I used estrous this season and I knew it would be a little early, but I also knew it was close enough that the deer would think it was a mature doe that had gone "in-heat" early. Sure enough, all seven deer were VERY INTERESTED in "her". THEY ALL LICKED THE TREE I WAS IN and circled the small clearing that I was hunting looking for her!

Now, I knew that we were in the late pre-rut here in KS as I have been seeing a few, I mean VERY FEW, small rubs, the temps have finally been consistently dropping, and the second fall moon is approaching. (November 10th) I am going back out tomorrow as we are supposed to have an early morning snow and I would suspect that I will see something bigger! I would imagine that KY is on a similar timeline as they are close in lattitude to KS but maybe a little behind since they are closer to the coast. Bottom line, IT IS GAME-TIME! Get out there Bowhunters!
Good luck, man!
