calling/rattling mule deer?

im hunting in the d16 area (palomar mtn.) and it looks all fun and good on t.v. to call and rattle on deer but im kind of skeptical considering im hunting public and really pressured land? and it seems they only call and rattle at whitetails and always spot and stalk muleys? any advice would be appreciated thanks...

Sorry Gary, mule deer hunting isn't really big on this site.
Keep the tradition alive, teach a kid how to hunt.
