What i was woundering was what kind of deer can i kill here? And what county is the best to hunt? My wife is in the NAVY and is stationed in Norfolk and i moved up here with her.

I hunt in Pennsylvania and I assume the deer in Virginia will be about the same. VA has a lot of plateaus and is a fairly mountainous state, like PA, and in most parts the deer eat forest forage rather than high protein crops. It all depends on the terrain near Norfolk but most of the bucks I see in PA don't get much bigger than the 120s, so I'd have to say VA has about the same.
