Can more than 1 person hunt a small track of land?

Postby deerhunternole » Thu Dec 15, 2011 3:05 pm

Hi i'm new here, and wanted to start with a question. My uncle owns 75 acres of land in South Georgia right on a river, My problem is that we have up to 4 people that want to hunt it! But it seems like only 1 at a time can hunt with the theory that( 1 shot will run anything off on that small of land) So my question is, is it possible for more than 1 person to hunt at a time, meaning multiple plots? or is it just better to focus on 1 plot and take turns hunting?

I don't see a problem with a couple people hunting it at the same time in different spots.

In think it depends on the habitat that you have there on those 75 acres. Wind direction is important too. If you have only one good spot where you think the deer will be, like a feeding area, then maybe only one person is good. But if you are not sure where the deer will be, then it might be best to have up to four people hunt it. That way you cover all your bases and are more likely to get one as a group. Having multiple people hunt the same small acreage may also cause deer to move past other hunters. On a proerty that size though, I'd say stand hunting is the way to go woth more than one hunter. You don't want four guys walking around 75 acres not knowing where each other are.
