There was a time when i shot like that.I would be mad if 5 arrows were not touching. That was way before marrige, kid or even being a homeowner and i shot an hour per day all year long. Now days i randomly pick the bow up and can still put in the sweet spot with no problem but you do lose what you dont use.I wish i had that kind of time now to devote to my recurve. Then i would pitch the matthews

Thats what all my buddies shoot. They are 800 dollar bows though.I bought a martin x-200 for a couple hundred bucks and told myself when i was good enough to kill with it i can get a Black Widow.I hold a pretty good group with it across my garage(10 yds)but after that it gets kinda ugly.Im just not confident enough to hunt with it yet.Maybe some day.

My bad luck continues and I can only blame tenpoint and NY for jinxing me. Pulled out of the church parking lot this morning and a 20 year old girl decided to run the red light. My tahoe is in bad shape.

Well at least it was not your fault, like me and NY  . The important thing is that everyone is ok. Sounds like no one was hurt.

Why does my computer light with the battery symbol keep popping up from time to time on my pick up truck? I sure wish you could talk and tell me what is wrong. Do you need a new battery sweet-heart or is your alternator going bad?

Look, I had to throw the blame on somebody Tony. Watch out or I'll start blaming you!

Check the voltage on your battery first, it should put out between 12.5 and 13.5 volts. If it is putting out good voltage, check your ground. Mine used to do the same thing. I replaced the ground to the frame. The connection was loose and the ground wire was pretty much shot. This has a tendency to give the system a false reading as a battery failure.

Theraflu is some awesome stuff. Tastes like horse manure but works great. I suggest you drink a gallon or two today.

Remember how I said I love hunting in a misting rain? Okay, well if you missed it I do. It started misting 15 minutes ago. I called the boss and had this conversation...
Me: Hey Boss, I guess I'm not as healed as I thought I was. I'm feeling pretty bad. I don't want to push it too much. I need the rest of the afternoon off.

Boss: Whatever you need Kwack. Hey, is it raining down your way? (he works in Maryland)

Me: Yeah, it's been misting on and off for a little bit, why?

Boss: Send me pictures if you kill a good one.

I like my boss a lot.

Carried 2 buddies hunting today.

MORNING:
The first one is my English friend and I carried him to a farm about 45min from us. He has never shot a deer with his crossbow, but has had it for 2 years now. He had about 10 doe come out and he shot at one and the bolt sailed over her back. Guessed them to be 40yds and they were 30. Clean miss.

AFTERNOON:
My other buddy has been bow hunting for several years and I carried him close to where I used to live. I have seen some decent bucks there, but I havent killed one. Mostly doe or basket racks 6's and 8's. He was sitting there watching where I told him the deer usually come from and he turned to his left and there was a buck. He drew back and shot clean over its back. He thought it was at 30yds when it was only 20.

2 people, 1 day, 2 clean misses!!!!

I am not taking anyone else hunting again. My record so far is 100% sightings and 0% kills.

I took my buddy and his daughter to the property that is 45 minutes away. It was juvenile weekend and he was gonna take her to public land, so I told him that I would take him where we would see some deer with less pressure. Pretty slow morning until about 8am, when the switch flipped....... long story short, I see a deer move to our left and tell him to hit the can call. A little 4pt buck comes in on a string and his daughter takes careful aim, the deer spooks, we get him to stop, she is still taking careful aim, and BOOOOOOOM, the smokepole goes off. The little buck acts like he is hit, then stops on top of the rise and looks back at us, flicks his tail and runs off. I hear her whisper, I think I hit the fence. I get out and look and sure nuff, she hit the fence. I ran and looked for blood and didnt see any. I get back in the blind and we stay another 1.5 hours and see several more deer, some bucks chasing, but not in range. Hunt is over by 9:45. Busted several more deer leaving the woods. 12 deer total seen, 1 shot at and missed.

That makes 3 hunters I have put on deer and 3 hunters that have missed for various reasons.
