Couple Michigan Boys Coming To Kansas

We have a group of 4 guys who got pulled for whitetail tags. We are all around 28 years old, and have been hunting michigan all our lives. We are looking for a new adventure and a week getaway. We all voted Kansas for our dream trip. We are going to be hunting in unit 3 and am just looking for some guys to share a few beers and some hunting stories with. We dont have any set plans yet so i thought i would jump on here, introduce myself, and look forward to hunting your beautiful state.

Hey guys,

I'm headed to Kansas for the firs time myself. Purchased a left over tag for Unit 9.I'm on a lease with some other Georgia boys in Unit 9. I'll be there for the muzzleloader opener 18 September, hope to spend 10 days chasing the big boys. Good luck to ya.

Hey howboutcha, thats awesome!!! Good luck landing that big boy. I am really getting excited about the trip, we have decided we will be camping this year. Again we are hunting unit 3, if anybody knows any good camp grounds or area where we can setup camp, that would be helpful.

Hey Rage, are you from the area or have you just hunted there before? I would love to hear some good buck stories about Kansas to get the blood flowing and hold me over till opener. Im also curious about opening day, in michigan, opening day is like a shooting gallery. There are too many hunters for the little amount of state land we have. I know there is a lot more open land in Kansas and am wondering if you still see a ton of orange out there on opener?

Hey quigley, thanks for the good luck and the same goes to you. How are the whitetails over in unit 13? We just kind of threw a dart on what unit to draw for? We are kind of going in blind here and just looking for a new hunting experience. We will see how this year goes, never know, we just may end up in your neck of the woods down the road!!!
