Cracked Cam on Golden Eagle Bow

Postby Firstlight » Fri Oct 31, 2008 7:47 pm

The bottom cam is cracked on my golden eagle. took it to the archery shop, he said it should be alright this year. Also said he couldnt replace it..?? Would the colder weather cause the plastic cam to become more fragile?

I dont trust a cracked anything on my bow, especially a limb or cam. Its only a matter of which shot causes it to fail.

Cold weather, or hot weather doesn't matter!!!!! if its cracked your risking possibly more damage to your bow than just a cracked cam and SEVERE personal injury when it explodes in your face when you shoot (well maybe not the bottom cam). But still I wouldn't trust it at all. I'd find another shop that could fix it if he couldn't.
