You got a taxidermist picked out yet Sarge? Better clear a space on the den wall too. Theres ALOT of big bucks running around this year. Most Ive ever seen and most Ive ever passed in the limited time Ive had to bowhunt. By the 20th they will be back to running scrape lines, few might be locked on the last estrous does. Alot of big bucks were taken last week or so. :( They'll rewrite the record books this year I imagine and we'll have a bunch of out of staters next year swarming in  . Ive seen two typicals 200 class taken the last week but neither are gonna be in any books. Guys are like me and try to keep some stuff quiet. Rain Saturday PM and ALL DAY SUNDAY,ugh. Let me know if you need a taxidermist in this area. One that done my 8 pt last year is good and reasonable. $325, half down and he was done in two months. 17th deer Ive had mounted and he impressed me. Good Luck p. s. pack rain gear and sign your tags, bunny cops are writing tickets for it this year. Check your FOID card too and make sure its signed  .

:D
Thanks for the heads up my friend. I'll make sure everything is signed and my foid is good until 02/01/2019. I know I'll have to sign everything else. Sure hope your right about the rain. Fri and Sat dry and Sun rain. I'll pack my rain gear. 2 out of 3 days dry is better then all 3 wet. I'll keep in touch about a taxidermist.
You take care and good hunting. If you see my green wrangler with a black hard top with a fish on the plate, stop in and I'll buy you a beer.

Stay dry and maybe I'll see you at the meat processor in jacksonville.

Sorry, wont see me at a processor's. We butcher our own, lol. Only one in town and they are crooked. Several south of here are good though. One north in Virginia changed hands and everyone likes them. I'll watch for you, kinda miss the check stations for that reason. Opening night use to see and talk to guys we never seen except that one day a year, lol. Calling for 5" of rain by thursday night. If your crossing water/creeks etc plan ahead. Good luck
