Yes I would think it would effect deer coming to your stand...The predators will be coming in and will keep the deer at bay...Also I would not put him in the creek...it will contaminate the creek. I would drag him a fair distance upwind of the prevailing winds for that area. It shouldn't take the predators long to take care of him.
