For their first deer they were taken out individually so they could savor the moment without distractions. I have always pulled them out of school for opening day of deer season as long as their marks were good. Thats all the insentive they need for good marks and lots of time off school in the fall. I believe they get one heck of an education in the field that sticks with them alot longer than algebra. So the question I've been asked may times is, "How young were they when you started taking them"?
Weather permiting they were out from the time they could walk. They have damn near 70 years experience between them and most days I just sit back and let them make the plans for the hunts we go on. Of course I always get included and they tell me it has nothing to do with food or gas.![]()
