Deep in thought

I was out shooting my bow tonight and I found myself replaying images and scenarios of past huntin seasons . The shots I should have taken , what I should have done instead of what I did at that time , things of that nature . Just wondered if anyone else does the same thing or if I am just a weirdo !!! :D

I thought about taking a little spike once. Would have been my first deer. He was about 80 yards, stamping and putting on a pretty good show. He kept moving my way and then turned broaside. Thought about taking him, but shooed him away instead. Maybe he'll be back in a couple years.

Yep, last year, also with a spike. I watched him stand there eating broadside for about 25 minutes from 20 yards away. I could have taken him any time I wanted to but it was at the beginning of the season and I thought for sure I'd have other opportunities to shoot. I was wrong and I went deerless last year. In hindsight, I'm not sure if I would have shot him or not, in hopes that he could be a 4 or 6 point this year.
