Deer scent that actualy works

Postby mnwhitetailhunter » Thu Sep 06, 2007 3:18 pm

Over the years i have used about every thing under the sun to eliminate human oders and not a whole lot of luck

1 day several years back while scouting for deer i saw a buck of a life time..With the vampire bugs as thick as they ever could be i sprayed myself down with ben's bug/tick repelant..

I took off across the field to locate this trophy buck..Well when i reached a safe place to view from this buck turns around and heads right at me.I lay down in the fence line & this buck walks within inches of my boots..He just sniffed around me and kept walking away down wind

Over the last 3 years i have used (bens) not only for a cover scent but also to attrack deer

I cant even count how many times deer have licked my tree ladder stands where i had put my hands on to climb up

I have had deer follow my trail right to my stands

About a month ago i wanted to prove to myself and a few others just how well (Bens) actualy works so i dumped a bottle of Bens out just under a trail camera and came back 24 hours later..I tilted the camera down so you just get the deer attracked to the scent not the ones walking by

Watch how big the spot becomes in the lower left hand corner of each picture

I also want to add this..Just because it works very well in the mid west does NOT mean that it works every place..So before you go out and buy a bottle and use it try it out some place where you know ya wont be hunting and set up a trail camera..See what happens..Once it's starts to get cold Bens does not work to attrack deer as well as it does during the early archery season
