Diamond Razor Edge- Small framed guy?

Postby victoryredchevy » Mon Sep 14, 2009 7:22 pm

I've been reading up on this bow alot lately and I THINK it might be a good fit for me. I plan on going to my local shop this weekend to see it and feel it in person. I just wanted to get some opinions here as well. I'm around 5'6'' and 145, so at 23 years old, I've pretty much hit the top. I know this bow is marketed to grow with a young hunter, but being as small framed as I am, I believe it'd be a good fit and the price is perfecto. Anybody here use this bow or know someone that does, that isn't a child?

I bought one for my wife but beofre I bought it I had it set up for me so I could shoot it and see how it felt before I dropped the money on it. I shot it probably 50 times. For it's size and value that little joker was a great shooter. It's set up for her now but I could have it set up for me again in matter of minutes. If I didn't already own a Black Ice, I would seriously think about using this one as my main bow. My wife is a newby but she loves her bow and shoots it very well. I would recomend it to anybody.

I don't have a Diamond but from what I understand Bowtech bought them out years ago and they make some excellent bows.

You might go to Cabelas and Bass Pro and see what people say about the bow as they post owner/user reviews on their sites for the products they sell.

If you try one and it feels and shoots well and you like it I would say to go for it. :D

Yep, I've read the heck out of reviews on BPS, Cabela's and Gander Mtn. Funny thing is, there were as many posters that were experienced hunters/archers that bought them as there were folks that bought them for the teen and little ones. This just might be what I've been looking for, we'll see. I won't get to antsy until I have this thing in my hands and have shot it.

Diamond Razor

I bought a Razor about a month back because I wanted to try bow hunting and knew very little about the sport. The bow is a nice fit for me; I'm 5'8" and about 150 lbs. I like the fact that I can adjust the draw length and tension so that as I get stronger and better I can 'refit' the bow. I had never shot a bow before and the first day I was shooting 4" groups with 6 arrows from 20 yards. I haven't tried it out any further than that yet because I was so accurate I wanted to get out hunting! I bought the package, again because I knew very little and was looking for a starter bow. If I could do it again I would buy the bow but opt for a better sight (more fiber optics for low light conditions) and a different arrow rest. The rest that came with it seems to be chewing up my fletching a little. Hope this helps.
