Dodge Ram 1500

I purchased the truck in Sept. 07. In Dec. 07 had to replace the front axil seal. Beginning of Mach 08 gas cap lite came on, had a new cap put on. End of March 08 I went to start it and it would not start. Brought it in (paid $120.00 for tow). Had to replace ignition modual as the computer indicated the vehicle was being stolen. So far all on Warranty. In Oct. 09 (warranty over) my engine light came on. Took it in, they said it was fixed. In Dec. 09, on the way to airport for a vacation the engine light came on, then quit on the highway, in the middle of nowhere. Limped into dodge dealer 40 miles farther, it would only go 60k an hour all the way. Computer showed 15 codes, the worse one was low oil. Replaced the oil sending light. When got home from vacation they said it was fixed, NOT! In June 10' heard a grinding noise in the rear diff. I took it in and they replaced rear spring. Still grinding noise in july. Took it back in Sept. they said that the clutch in the rear diff (posi.) was wrecked, which is making the awfull noise. They said it would cost me $2300.00 to fix. They did replace the front axil at this time. Went out day before yesterday and the gear shifter broke completely. I couldn"t shift into any gear. I talk to the very "FEW" Dodge ram owners around here and all have the same problems. I had this truck serviced according to the service pamphlet. Leaving tomorrow for a vacation with a rental as my 3 year old Dodge truck is useless!!!

chris, as a fellow dodge owner, i feel your pain. if anything could go wrong, it has. not satisfied with my truck at all.

I know others who have had tons of trouble from dodge trucks,they went and bought fords and chevys.

I DRIVE A 94 RAM ..PAINT WAS RECALLED AND DEALER NEVER DID GET IT RIGHT NOW ITS CAMO BUT ITS BLUE PAINT AND GREY PRIMER .BUT I HAVE 300,000 + ON IT .I DRIVE TO TO DEALERS ON SALE DAYS TO SHOW OFF THE PAINT TO PROSPECTIVE CUSTOMERS ..THE DEALERS HATE MY TRUCK!

My dodge 1500 truck now has 300,000 on it. It sure has been a HUGE MONEY PIT!!!
