Easy BBQ sauce

2.3 cups finely chopped onion
1tsp minced garlic
1/2-1 jalapeno seeds removed minced
2 tbsp butter
1/3 cup brown sugar
2cups ketchup
1 20 oz. bottle of Coke©

in a medium sauce pan melt the butter then saute onions, garlic, and peppers til they "open". pour in the whole bottle of Coke©. Condense this to about half or a third of the original volume. Add brown sugar and ketchup. simmer for 15-25 minutes

this sauce isn't the best for dipping but works great basting on the grill or in a crock pot where it will cook down.
I have made it with all types of different varients and it is always good so long as I use the Coke©

I'm gonna try root beer next time heh
let me know what you all think.
