OK Im back from my four day hunt in Three lakes Management area. Let me tell you what I witnessed. Aceholes driving down the dirt roads with the gun hanging out the drivers door window. Riders in the back of trucks with guns loaded and hunting from the back of the moving truck. Two big no no's in the WMA.

Then To top things off this place has a primitive camping area. Well it seems all the trash from south Florida comes to Three lakes just with one thing in mind. Raising hell 24/7. Music blasting way past the "quite time". I did not make these rules I just follow them. But it seems we have a lot of bad apples here when it comes to hunters. The best part was when these dolts were asked to TURN DOWN YOUR MUSIC! Lets just say we were approached by 8 no good drunk hunters. These loser can not handle their Whiskey. They approached with this Buford pusser stick. This is when I grabbed my side arm and informed them. "Your actions WILL be meet with deadly force". they got the idea and quick we were not messing around and someone might get shot.

Needless to say I think these weekend warriors need to find another activity to spend their time on. they are not hunters. Just a bunch of thugs.

OK I feel better now. Just had to get that off my chest. Oh BTW cant wait to go back..
Look I can fix it. Just get out of the way would ya?

Well, don't ever come to VT in the fall, that's all I can say. Seems like most everyone up here road-hunts. I bet at least 85% of the deer killed here are taken by some idiot either from shooting out a truck window or standing beside the truck in or near the road.

Oh there's a few of us old dinosaurs that still like to actually go in the woods, but not many. So far, I've seen a total of one other guy in the woods while hunting this year and I hunted bear all of September, bowhunted for deer a few days in October. Bear hunted some in October too. I deer hunted about ten days in November and went out two days this month (muzzle season) so far. Oh, I moose hunted two days in October too.

The good news is, if you hunt here, you'll pretty much have the woods to yourself. Oh, actually I have seen a few other people in the woods, but they were either hiking or dog-walking or some-such thing and all were respectful and pleasant. A lady I saw in the woods yesterday had two dogs. Both had hunter-orange on! She stopped and waved at us, then immediately leashed her dogs and left the area, when she spotted my son and I hunting.

Sadly though, some moronic, so-called "hunter"shot a pet lama Saturday in Grand Isle, VT, believe it or not. He then sped off in his truck, from what the news stated. -Runner

We did some stalking last Sunday in Three lakes. about 5 miles into a huge cypress head were we shot at by some stupid idiot. From the sound of the gun shot he/she must had been 200 yards from us. When we exited the woods the shooter was long gone. He was lucky. NOw I'm looking for my vic.

Some of them (Shane, Lanny, Larry) live within a few miles of me, actually. They pretty much hunt Canada these days, as far as I know. Not even sure if they still hunt in Maine, to be honest. Not at all sure how much Larry even hunts now. He's pretty well on in years now. He's still making knives though, last I knew.
