Just wantin gto hear about strange or amazing things you guys have seen while hunting or on trail cams .

Last season I shoot a deer and saw it drop . I walked no more than a hundred yards to it and when I got up toit there was a bobcat already trying to tear its stomach open . He turned and looked at me a little to long now I have a nice bobcat mount .

The first time my brother's wife came up to our lease in Alabama he took her out to one of the box stands and he kept smelling something . He asked her if she had lotion or something on and she told him no that she had just put on perfume before they left the cabin . Needless to say they didn't see anything and he now makes sure she doesn't put any on before they go out to hunt .

Last bow season I saw two decent bucks locking antlers about 50 yards from me...That was the first time I'd ever seen it happen in real life so it was pretty cool

I took a guy bowhunting with me one time. He got cold and started a fire in the woods. He does not hunt with me anymore.

One evening right before dark had an owl fly in and spot me in my stand, and after bobbing his head and alittle screeching he came in to attack me.I realized later that with my facemask on nothing but my eyes showing he thought I was an owl too.Same thing happened to the fella that hunts across the road from me about two years ago, nice wooden tower stand with a roof on it and a barn owl had taken up to staying in it.That owl hit him so hard it nocked his hat off and to this day he has not hunted in that stand since

Man, I could go on all day with this topic.

Image

My old man has a bad habit of being 100% inconsiderate of other hunters. He wants to clear brush....now.

If you hunt in Texas and don't have some awesome, space-age, air-tight blind, you have to deal with, among other things, yellow jackets, wasps, etc. When you go out to get in the blind in the early morning dark, you are taking a chance that the industrious little bastards haven't made camp there. Well, one time, I was sitting there with my then girlfriend. There was a nest on the outside so we were careful not to disturb it. Halfway through the hunt, I felt a sharp pain in my side and just knew I'd somehow gotten stung. Nope, my GF was doing needlepoint to pass the time.

I ended up marrying her anyway.

EDIT: Ouch...the picture came out rather large....
