I take off the whole 4 weeks of firearms season from work, got mine after 3 1/2 weeks of dark to dark being in the woods. Up until the time I got my deer, I had less than 3hrs of legal time that I wasn't actively in the woods after deer, 2 of that was helping my friend get his deer out. If you are in the right place long enough, eventually it will be the right time.
