Fixed Vs. Rage

I've always used fixed broadheads but I've been considering Rage Expandables. Your thoughts?

I too was going to make the switch. I found that the rage did shoot a bit straighter.
Some problems I found were, my quiver would force open the blades somewhat. I didn't want to deal with the possibility of malfunction should I need an arrow quickly. Also, one of the rubber grommets cracked from sitting for the summer. I don't want to guess weather they are reliable or not when I need them.

I know there are quivers that don't interfere, and there are replacement kits for the blades, but all that adds up$$. The Rage is very expensive . Then I realized I took 30+ animals with the NAP thunderhead, so why fix what’s not broke. The videos do make me want to try the Rage again, though.
Just my 2 cents.

I was also going to switch and try the Rage heads but never did this year. I stayed with the Thunderhead 100's but I have heard about very good results with the Rage
All I can say is gettem, shootem, and see how they fly for ya.

Fixed vs rage...........RAGE!!

I was always skeptical about mechanical(expandable) broadheads, worrying about whether they'ed fail or not, but since rage opens up from the back fixing that prob. I drilled two deer with'em this year and they didnt go over 20 yards combined!!!!!

Tried the rage broadheads. First day drilled a buck right through the lungs, broadhead never opened. Buck ran over 400 yards never found him.
God is good and so are BIG DEER!

I never bought into the hype. I chose NAP Spitfire 100's for my mechanicals. I would suggest that whatever mechanical you coose, I wouldnt shoot at an animal over 40yds, 30yds is my max.
Curiosity killed the cat, but I was a suspect for a while......

I personally like the fixed heads. If the arrow does not pass all the way through the blades may still be able to take out and artery while the deer is on the run. Typically the deer dont make it that far. But im partial to the fixed blades for that reason. For me cost and perfomamce cant be beat. I still use the 100gr Thunderhead
