Fleshing prep work for tannery

Postby Hunt79 » Tue Oct 28, 2008 7:52 pm

I am new to this in fact I haven't even done a shoulder mount yet. A couple European mounts and ducks, but want to do deer now. I know about splitting lips and ears and getting all of the meat off. Do I need a fleshing wheel or how much fleshing is necessary for a tannery :?: I have found a tannery that will do fleshing also, just send frozen cape overnight for an extra $40 and tanning is $32, they will split lips and ears as well. I would rather save that and do my own fleshing or is it worth it :?: After fleshing do I just salt it, roll it up and ship it to tannery :?: I will have alot of question for you over the next few months I'm sure, just bare with me :!: THANKS AHEAD!!!! :)
