Freezing meat

Now that you've got them, what do you do with them?

Freezing meat

I've heard a few people mention that they freeze their meat to sterilize it or to kill bacteria. Please be aware that freezing meat will not kill harmful bacteria.

Meat should be cooked to kill bacteria. Bacteria typically establishes itself on the surface of meat, so things like steaks and roast do not nessecarily need to be cooked right through. But ground meat should ALWAYS be thoroughly cooked through, as bacteria could be anywhere throughout the ground meat.
