well im new to the sight so i thought i would share todays hunt with u guys and gals.well i got to the stand at 4:00 and at 5:00 i had two does come out at 25yds and feed in a clearing in the woods.i watched and waited for a shot but it was just to thick to sling an arrow. At about 5:30 they started to go the other direction so i sat back down and waited for another to come by.Then i saw the two does come runnng back towards me and before i could do any thing they were directly under me. not wanting to get there attention i waited for them to make a move. After a few minutes they walked about 5yds one of them was right in my shooting lane so i pulled back put the pin in her boiler room and released.I did not see that there was a small branch hanging low and it deflected my arrow and it hit a little high. She was quartering away and i knew that there was still enough down angle to atleast take out one lung.I seen when she took off that the arrow was still sticking out of her i figured that it was lodged in the opposite shoulder. So i gave her a little over an hour and then got down and started tracking her but thats when the low started.I was only finding small drops of blood i was able to follow it for about 40yds then it stopped. Then the body search began and after over two hours in the dark i stopped seearching and figured id pick up the search tomarrow.Im not sure if the meat is going to be and good because its pretty warm but at least i can get some answers.

Its normal to not find alot of blood after about 40 yards on a high shot or a shot that didnt pass all the way threw, which makes it really tough to track. How ever if you did clip a lung like you think you may have you should still find some blood your just going to have to look harder. good luck
