G6 kern river buck hunt

Postby cborzoni » Fri Jun 29, 2007 11:46 am

Hi,
I am new to this forum and am looking for some information on the G6 late season hunt in kern. Me and a buddy drew this tag and am in search of some good info as where to hunt or scout. :D

Thanks CB

You are very fortunate. From Kernville head N toward Johnsondale. Just before steel bridge turn right on Sherman Pass Rd and head east. When you get to a wide right right turn where there is a hoarse area on your left you will also see a trailhead. If you get bad weather (ggod) hike that trail head to the ridges and glass.

D-8 ZONE "SHERMAN PASS ROAD"

CBORZONI
I will be hunting in D8 and scouting along Sherman Pass Road this weekend. I normally hunt (or try to hunt) the X9 zones, so this will be new territory for me also! If you want I will give you a report when I get back.

My wife and I decided to store our travel trailer at Camp James (Kernville), so we are spending a lot more time up there fishing and hopefully hunting. Love the area when the crowds are gone!

We are also from Murrieta (off Calle del Oso Oro near Bear Creek).

Regards,
